A new manuscript from the BIOMIMIC project is published, which describes the recovery of Vanadium through adsorption from alkaline residue leachate.

The benefits of the innovation is that it both removes a global environmental risk but also allows the recovery of a critical metal and facilitates a circular economy.

The article “Application of KOH modified seaweed hydrochar as a biosorbent of Vanadium from aqueous solution: Characterisations, mechanisms and regeneration capacity” is published in Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering.
