BIOMIMIC’s kickoff meeting 12-13 June gave project partners who had never met before a chance to get to know each other.
The meeting was held in Lund, Sweden, and was an opportunity to start discussions on cooperation, collaborative efforts and work packages.
–It was a very nice and positive meeting. I was very motivated with the strong commitment of the partners and complementary expertise and how the meeting successfully created such strong links to each other when it comes to knowledge and methods for treating waste and water as well as extracting metals from the BIOMIMIC raw materials, says Karin Willquist, project leader.
– The group’s overall commitment and competence will certainly make it easy to cooperate and share both results and materials during the project.
This first partner meeting and kickoff was held in Sweden and hosted by the project coordinator RISE.
Coming project meetings will be held in Freiberg, Germany where the partner GEOS is situated and in Limerick, Ireland. The university of Limerick is another project partner. All partners are listed here .
